Advertisement Opportunities

In conjunction with the 350th anniversary of Sir Thomas Rich’s, 2016 also marks the 70th anniversary of when rugby was first played by the school. One of the ways we have marked this occasion is by erecting a spectator barrier around our 1st XV rugby pitch. This will also provide an excellent opportunity to build links between STRS and local businesses by creating marketing opportunities through advertising boards.

As an interested party in Gloucestershire we would like to offer you an advertising board which will be a permanent fixture around the 1st XV pitch for a twelve month period. This is a cheap and effective way to market your business as with a rugby fixture card of over 22 games through 7 age groups represented through A,B and C teams at Sir Thomas Rich’s, there is a large number of children, parents, friends and family who attend the Oakleaze pitches numerous times per week. In addition to this, the successful 1st XV and U15’s often progress into the later stages of the Natwest National competition drawing large crowds to important games. Furthermore, this would provide an opportunity to advertise your business to a very wide area as pupils currently attend Sir Thomas Rich’s from areas including Gloucester, Cheltenham, Forest of Dean, Worcester, Swindon, Bristol and Cirencester. The rugby fixture list not only includes local schools such as Chosen Hill, The King’s School, Gloucester and Pate’s Grammar school but also includes schools such as Millfield, Warwick, RGS High Wycombe, The King’s School, Worcester, Hereford Cathedral and Clifton College.

The initial cost of an advertising board is £225+VAT and provides advertising for one year from September to August. Renewal thereafter on an annual basis would be £150 + VAT.

Similarly a longer term price range can be put in place, please contact George Angell, Commercial Lead at
