Teachers' Strike Action – Tuesday 5 July

Teachers' Strike Action – Tuesday 5 July

Published Monday 4 July 2016 by mm

You may have heard that the National Union of Teachers (NUT) will be taking strike action on Tuesday 5 July. This action has been called "to protect school funding and maintain teachers' pay and conditions."

Less than 15 of our teachers are members of the NUT, out of a teaching staff of over 60. We may not know how many of the teachers in the NUT will take strike action until Tuesday but, at a time when Year 11 and Year 13 will have completed their examinations no longer in school, we shall be able to remain open without risk to the safety of our pupils. Even if not taught for parts of the day, all of our students will be properly supervised.

In summary, your son/daughter should attend school on Tuesday 5 July as usual
