Since 1666, when the School was founded on a donation from a local business man, successive generations of boys – and, in recent years, girls in the Sixth Form – have benefitted from our outstanding learning environment, in which every student can realise their academic and personal potential, both in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities.
We pride ourselves on preparing students for the adult world, collaborating with business’ to provide work experience opportunities, taster days, careers advice and mentors to help them on the way. In return, companies gain an insight into the needs and benefits of young workers, engagement with some of the brightest minds in the county and increased awareness of their business amongst the wider school community.
The past few years have seen significant cuts in the funding we receive from the government and this impacts on the curriculum we offer and the extra opportunities available.
In these challenging times, Sir Thomas Rich’s School seeks to be proactive in generating new revenue streams to support the continuing ‘inspiration and excellence’ that the School provides.
We are aiming to develop a network of relationships with a number of Corporate Partners that will provide a mutual benefit for both partners and enrich the lives of our students.
