Tom is Chair of our Board of Trustees, having served as a Trustee since 2018. He chairs the Personnel Committee responsible for all staffing matters, and is the Link Trustee for Data Management. Tom attended Sir Thomas Rich’s from 2003 to 2009, during which time he enjoyed the full breadth of School life from the classroom and sports fields to trips and tours. Tom grew up locally in Longlevens having attended both Elmbridge Junior School and Longlevens Junior School, and enjoyed walking to and from School every day with his friends. Tom has maintained close links with the School since leaving to read Law at Lancaster University – he regularly speaks at our Sixth Form Open Evenings about his time with us, which he passionately believes set him up for future success. Tom trained as a corporate lawyer with international law firm Allen & Overy before qualifying and specialising in technology law at famous London law firm Mishcon de Reya. He is now Chief Executive Officer of The Mishcon de Reya Group's successful technology consulting and development business, MDRx, which specialises in delivering legally complex digital transformation projects. Tom enjoys all forms of team sports, especially rugby union. He is also an avid reader and enjoys spending time with his friends – many of whom he met while at the School.

Having been a teacher and senior leader in schools for many years, Tim currently leads the Gloucestershire Initial Teacher Education Partnership (GITEP), the school-centred initial teacher training provider which works with all secondary schools in Gloucestershire. Tim is also CEO of Adfecto, the professional development arm of Gloucestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers Limited, and an Honorary Teaching Fellow of the University of Bristol. His relationship with Sir Thomas Rich’s began in 2011, when his son started as a pupil at the School, and he became a Governor in 2020. He was previously a governor at Warden Hill Primary School in Cheltenham.

Roger has served as a Governor at Rich’s since 2012 and was Chair of Governors from 2015 to 2022. He also chair the Admissions’ Committee and sits on the Finance, Personnel and Curriculum and Evaluation Committees. His career was in business finance; initially as a Chartered Accountant, then as a Finance Director in the electricity industry and then as the founder and Commercial Director of an environmental planning consultancy. Roger enjoys being part of the team that provides strategic direction to the School, and his other passions in life are music (in which he recently completed a Master of Arts), railway history, bridge, fine wine and his family.

Jo has been a Trustee since 2022 and serves as a parent trustee with her eldest son attending Sir Thomas Rich.
She has over 24 years experience working in education as a teacher and leader. Jo currently works as a qualified SENDCo and also holds her level 3 safeguarding training being deputy DSL at her current school.

Judith has been a Trustee at the School for just over four years and is also the Chair of the Finance Committee. A Chartered Accountant with over 30 years’ experience, Judith currently works at a local accountancy practice and specialises in education and charities, working with a significant number of local academies and Independent schools. Judith was a Parent Governor and Chair of the Finance Committee at her children’s primary school for six years.

Julia serves as a Parent Governor of the School and two of her sons have attended Sir Thomas Rich’s. One is now at university and the other is currently a pupil. She brings extensive legal experience to the role, having worked as a solicitor specialising in employment law for 25 years.

As a Chief Operating Officer at MDRx, Sian leads a rapidly growing consulting business where she builds high-performing teams who advise clients across the public and private sector on the design and implementation of their emerging technologies. She is passionate about individuals finding careers that meet their ambitions and is pleased to share this knowledge with the careers teams and students at STRS as part of her role. Sian was a student and Head Girl at Rich’s between 2008 and 2010, from which she retains a keen interest in modern history and politics and close friendships. Sian went on to gain a degree in Criminology and an MSc in International Defence, Development and Diplomacy at Durham University. She is a qualified coach and provides coaching that empowers individuals to achieve their potential at all levels. This has included being part of a coaching team who work with the Civil Service Fast Stream to provide career development coaching to graduates. In addition, she works closely with PA’s Global Technology team to provide resources that demystify new technologies for business leaders, ensuring they are informed when making crucial business and investment decisions. Sian says that given the influential years she spent at Rich’s, she feels privileged to take on the role of Trustee at the School and work with the Trustees and Senior Team to ensure the School continues to offer life shaping opportunities to all students.

Born and raised in Gloucestershire, Yasmin is the parent of a Year 13 A Level student at Rich’s and volunteers for the PTFA. A professional with over 25 years’ in business analysis experience across sectors such as aerospace, utilities, and financial services, Yasmin has a lifelong passion for learning and education and is a trained English language teacher and IELTS marker. She has worked overseas as an English language teacher, as a project manager in developing the English Language Curriculum, as well as providing individual learning support to a child with special needs, enabling them to access the curriculum. Outside of work, she enjoys keeping fit, scuba diving and travelling.
