During the Y12 enrichment week, some of our mathematicians visited Birmingham University to get a taste of studying Mathematics. They experienced a sample lecture on 'randomness and bias in probability' followed by an intriguing lecture on 'graph theory' and 'graph colouring'. Students were then given the opportunity to have a tour of the campus before returning for a very open and honest Q&A session with current students. The day was rounded off with an excellent sample discussion class looking at 'game theory' - never challenge a mathematician to a game of 'Nim'.
