Michael Ashworth has won the British U15 Chess Championship. In the 6 day competition held at Aberystwyth University in late July Michael scored 4 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss in the joint U16 and U15 section, placing him equal second in the U16 category, but the clear winner of the U15 title. Congratulations to Michael on this outstanding achievement. He is, quite probably, Rich’s first ever national chess champion.
