On October 2, Ben Andre directed the Chamber Choir in the first of two performances for the Citizenship Ceremonies at the Coroner’s Court Gloucester.

Col Mike Bennett led the ceremony and reminded us all of the importance of the Citizenship Ceremonies in welcoming people into the United Kingdom and how we all have a responsibility

to uphold British values such as a respect for law and order and charity. Chamber Choir sang English music whilst the citizens arrived including ‘If Ye Love Me’ by Tallis and ‘The Bluebird’ by Stanford.

When the dignitaries led the citizens into the Corium Suite, Chamber Choir accompanied the procession with the upbeat ‘Sumer is Icumen’.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Chamber Choir led the citizens and dignitaries in singing the National Anthem.

Chamber Choir concluded the ceremony with more English music whilst the new citizens had refreshments and took photographs.
