French Activities Morning
Published Wednesday 15 July 2015 by j hewett
During the Spring Term the year 9 language ambassadors visited French classes at Longlevens Junior School and conducted mini lessons with small groups of pupils. It was now the turn of Longlevens to visit Sir Thomas Rich’s for a morning of fun activities. Each of the two classes enjoyed a visit to the French café where they had to order their food and drink in French. The ambassadors played the role of waiters and endeavoured to maintain a flow of conversation in French. Further language activities in the Sports Hall followed. Madame Khokher, assisted by the language ambassadors, organised some fun games in the Sports Hall, working with a parachute and number and alphabet tiles.
The feedback from the visit was very positive. The Primary pupils thoroughly enjoyed the activities and there was much praise for the language ambassadors who performed their roles with panache.
My thanks go to all those who contributed to the success of the morning, in particular to Mr Cook (ex STRS pupil) from Longlevens Junior School who has worked enthusiastically alongside me in organising the event and to the stars of the show, the language ambassadors and pupils from Longlevens Junior School.
