French Play: Les garçons

On Wednesday the Onatti Company performed the play “Les garçons” in front of a very appreciative audience. When a boyfriend decides to visit his girlfriend, Natalie, whilst she is babysitting problems can arise. Firstly he is mistaken for a burglar and enters into a fracas with one of the pupils who he thinks is his rival in love. He then proves totally inept at looking after a baby. Tension arises between him and Natalie resulting in the need to engage “a go between” to relay messages between the two. This role was ably carried out by pupils. The slapstick comedy, brilliant acting and accessibility of language made this an excellent play which entertained the pupils from start to finish.
