Yesterday 130 Year 11 students enjoyed a fantastic trip to GCSE Poetry Live! at the Bath Forum. This incredible event included the Poet Laureate, Simon Armitage, and former Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy and was a great opportunity to hear them read their work from the AQA GCSE Anthology. There were also readings from poets John Agard and Imtiaz Dharker, and AQA Chief Examiners presented on how to be successful in the exam. Poets also responded to student questions and discussed how poems connect to and influence other poems.
