On Sunday 1st December, STRS hockey team travelled to Wellington, Somerset, to participate in the Under 18 Regional Hockey Competition for the first time in the school’s history. It was always going to be tough given our team had never played a competitive fixture indoor.

Facing three excellent opponents in Canford School, Taunton School and South Dartmoor Community College, it was always going to be about how the boys handled the pressures and pace. Unfortunately we ended the competition with three defeats; however, everyone at Tommies should be extremely proud of the success we achieved. All of the games were close, especially the third fixture against the group winners South Dartmoor. Throughout the day, Charlie Webster and Dan Ladd scored the goals.
