Language students in Year 9 have been taking part in a series of challenges over the last few weeks that have tested their skills as linguists and provided an opportunity to showcase their creative, sporting and musical talents. Pupils have also learned about career opportunities in languages. Each task has earned points for their colour group, with the grand winners to be crowned next week. Highlights have included tasks to construct famous landmarks, writing songs in the target language, a photography challenge, playing pétanque, and last but not least the ancient German art of welly-boot (gummistiefel) throwing!
