Sir Thomas Rich's welcomed Year 2 pupils from Longlevens Infants School today for a pond dipping and bug hunting session, organised by STRS Biology teacher Joy Mee. Seahorses and Turtles classes enjoyed hunting for newts, tadpoles, water snails, hoglouses and more in the STRS pond, and followed up with a bug safari in the wooded area close by. Rich's Sixth Formers were on hand to help, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed being nature explorers in the sun! Lots of excited shouts were heard as discoveries were made, and all the creatures were gently and safely restored to their homes.
