Lulworth Cove Geography Fieldwork Year 10

Year 10 Geography students travelled to the Dorset Coast on Tuesday to complete an essential part of their GCSE course. We are required to complete a day of Human Geography fieldwork (Gloucester Quays) and a day of Physical Geography fieldwork (Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door). The boys worked very hard in the heat wave conditions. They completed a beach transect, wave count and pebble size/shape survey in order to prove or disprove the hypotheses they had discussed in class. We had a fantastic day - the only thing missing was a swim in the sea, which had sadly not been covered in the risk assessments!
