Just in time for half-term, a delivery of fresh new books to our Learning Resource Centre! Last year's Book Fair raised some much needed funds for the LRC, which means we can add lots of great new titles. These books were chosen by Sir Thomas Rich's Head of English, Sarah Roche, to inspire compulsive reading in all year groups, they are:

Cogheart by Peter Bunzl - "A steampunky tale of ambition, pursuit and revenge" The Guardian.

The Poet by Elizabeth Acevedo - A novel told in verse and winner of the Clip Carnegie Medal 2019.

Looking for JJ by Anne Cassidy - "Compassionate, unsensational and unflinching" The Guardian.

Check Mates by Stewart Foster - "Funny and heartfelt with a cunning twist. Stewart Foster is a grandmaster" Ross Welford, author.

The Skylark's War by Hilary McKay - "Funny, sad, warm, it is about growing up and finding what you love, intellectually and emotionally" The Sunday Times.

This year's Book Fair coincides with World Book Day on 5 March, see you there!
