Sixty of our Year 9 students enjoyed a five-day trip to Normandy this month, immersing themselves in the culture and enjoying some new experiences. Staying at the Château de la Baudonnière, all activities and meal times were delivered in French, which gave pupils and staff the chance to practise their language skills. Two days were spent at the Château taking part in archery, bread making, orienteering, aeroballe and team-building activities in the forest, followed by a day trip to Dinan market to buy ingredients for baguette making. Visits to Mont St Michel and Arromanches 360 cinema were a highlight, and the boys tackled traditional French food with enthusiasm; some even tried even the snails!
