"Home is a place that you can go to after a long, hard day of working. Home is a place you can go to be fed and a place you can go to be happy. A home is a blessing."
The Three Choirs Festival and the PSHE Department at STRS organised for Refugee Week 2019 activities focusing on the Kindertransport and modern-day child refugees. Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 pupils during form time all week watched clips about true stories from child refugees during WW2 and in the present day, and discussed their reactions to these stories. They then reflected upon where home is to them and what home means to them. They wrote their ideas on luggage labels. These labels will go on display at Gloucester Cathedral and will be on display during the Three Choirs Festival in August 2019.
