School's Prom - Royal Albert Hall 2012

The invitation from Gloucestershire Music Service to appear under the bright lights of London's Royal Albert Hall was a great accolade. Over 600 young musicians and singers from Gloucestershire travelled to London to perform a new work called Journey.
The choir totalled 480 young singers from twenty-four Gloucestershire secondary schools, including Sir Thomas Rich's. The 150 strong orchestra also contained STRS pupils, drawing from the county's top youth music groups: the Youth Jazz Orchestra, Youth Orchestra, Youth Sinfonia, and Youth Wind Orchestra.
