Sponsored bike ride for PMM
Published Wednesday 20 April 2016 by rcp
On May 4th and 5th, this year’s Uganda volunteers are undertaking a two-day, ninety-mile sponsored bike ride from St Andrew’s Church, Sonning (three miles east of Reading, and Sir Thomas Rich’s resting place) back to school. The riders are raising money for PMM School, St Andrew’s Church and to help pay for their experiences.
The first day’s route follows the Thames, and the Kennet and Avon canal before going through Savernake forest to Marlborough where the riders will camp overnight. The second day follows cycle-friendly, but abandoned, railway lines, quiet country lanes and dedicated cycle paths, northwards through Swindon and Cirencester before finally dropping down to Gloucester and school.
If you wish to sponsor a rider, they can be found in school. If you wish to make any donation, you may do so by handing money in at Reception.
