27 pupils and two members of staff are currently enjoying a fascinating trip to the USA.
We had a great time in New York on Thursday and Friday. On Thurdsay, we enjoyed the fast pace and diversity of the Big Apple, drinking in the buzz of Times Square and the spectacular night time views of Manhattan from Top of The Rock. The day threw a few curved balls at us, not least that Mrs Harris could not join us due to a virus. We also dealt with two lost bags (Both recovered) and a last minute change to dinner arrangements and it felt like a group adventure dealing with these.
Friday took us to the iconic Statue of Liberty, the historic Ellis Island, the 9-11 memorial and some chill time in Central Park before our transfer to DC.
Saturday the group enjoyed a fascinating walking tour of DC, taking in the Capitol, the National Archives, White House and many monuments and memorials on the National Mall, culminating in the Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial. We finished the day with dinner at Ben's Chilli Bowl.
