‘Wow’, ‘Whoosh’, ‘Whizz’ and ‘Aggghhh’ are just a few of the sounds to reverberate around Lake Windermere when 96 pupils and 10 members of staff made the trip North on Sunday 17th March for five days.

This year’s trip to Lakeside YMCA centre was much anticipated by the Year 7 students, and it proved to live up to all their expectations. The boys were not given long after they got off the bus before they found their rooms for the week, and then headed straight into their first activity of the day. The days that followed were full of numerous exciting and challenging activities such as raft building, zip line, rock climbing, a day in the snow covered mountains and many more.

As always, everyone returned exhausted, but also still buzzing from a fantastic few days away where new friendships were made and many skills developed. The staff are already looking forward to next year’s trip.
