Y9 Language Ambassadors visit Longlevens Juniors

Over the last few weeks year 9 language ambassadors have been visiting Longlevens Junior School and contributing to French lessons. Working with a small group of pupils, they carried out various activities to engage the pupils and help them with their French. The pupils really enjoyed working with the ambassadors and entered into the activities with enthusiasm. Mr L. Cook, an ex STRS pupil himself, has been eager to work with the school, and the link has benefitted both the pupils at Longlevens and our pupils. He commented that the children returned to the classroom “buzzing" and our pupils learned a great deal through the sessions, from relating to the pupils, giving explanations in a clear and concise manner, to time management and asking questions in French. We look forward now to organising a further event for the summer.
