Year 10 Oxford trip

The Year 10 academic enrichment group spent the day in Oxford looking around a few colleges as well as the city centre.
The day started with a very informative talk by the admissions tutor at Lady Margaret Hall. The main message for our boys was how important their GCSEs are, as these are what the university looks at. For many, it was the first time that they realised that a top university such as Oxford or Cambridge was a viable option in 3 years times. We then enjoyed a lovely tour of the grounds and lunch in their hall.
The afternoon was spent in the main city centre going into a few different colleges such as Jesus, Hertford and Trinity. Many found it fascinating to compare the different colleges, especially the facilities and student life.
We hope that the tour opened the eyes to many of our boys who perhaps thought that Oxbridge isn't for them,
