Year 12 Students Enjoy Cambridge University Masterclasses

Nine of Rich's Year 12 students attended Subject Masterclasses at Robinson College, University of Cambridge yesterday. A great day was had by all! The Subject Masterclasses provide academically-able Year 12 students studying at state-maintained schools with the opportunity to explore a subject they are interested in studying at university.
With several different Subject Masterclass events being held on the same day, each session includes an introduction to the University of Cambridge admissions process, two subject-specific academic sessions (lectures and supervision-style session), a college tour and, of course, a chance to ask current Robinson students lots of questions. There were also opportunities throughout the day to hear about student life in general from current undergraduates.
Gloucestershire is one of Robinson College's 'link' areas, which also include Wandsworth, Wiltshire and Swindon, and the College works hard to ensure there are no barriers to pupils from state secondary schools in the link areas attending these excellent free events.
More details on Robinson College's Subject Masterclass programme are available on its website.
