Joyel, Mae, Toby, Ansh, Henry, Bryn and Jay represented the School at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Games at De Montfort University recently. They formed a hypothetical council and had to complete a series of challenging tasks, including budget decisions, dealing with scandals, facing angry trade unionists and presenting their ideas. The team was praised for their teamwork, work ethic and collaborative skills. The leader board was extremely close, and the STRS team were pipped for the overall win by a whisper. The students thoroughly enjoyed their day, they had the opportunity to ĺearn new skills and have something on their UCAS form that will make them stand out from the crowd.
