Year 8's Virtual RS Trip to a Sikh Gurdwara and a Sikh Cooking Experience!
Published Wednesday 24 June 2020 by RT
Our Year 8s are touring a gurdwara today from their homes as part of their RS remote learning. This virtual trip is happening towards the end of their unit on Sikh teachings on equality. They have learnt about the importance of the langar (Sikh free kitchen) in the gurdwara when it comes to demonstrating the importance of equality and service to others (sewa) in Sikhism. Something that is especially relevant and relatable during these unprecedented times. We have asked our Year 8s to use this website as a guide and to create their own langar inspired vegetarian dishes at home. We will share photos of what they have made with you soon so watch this space!
