Aim high Fly2help Scholarship:

Fly2help is a charity that supports children who suffer from disabilities and life limiting conditions, it also has an aim high scholarship scheme that allows teenagers between the ages of 14-18 who are interested in the Aviation industry to get an inside view into the aviation industry. We took part in the Aim High scholarship and were lucky enough to have a 30 minute flight in a light aircraft and an hour flying a Virtual Boeing 737 simulator, which was an extremely interesting and enjoyable experience. The scheme was very prestigious and difficult to get into but very rewarding at the same time, and we think we both earned valuable life experience (interviews etc…). During the week we also had a trip to airbus and Rolls Royce in Bristol, where we took a look at the manufacturing and design processes that take place there and discovered new engineering techniques that they are revolutionising. I would highly recommend the scholarship to anyone interested, it is worth the time taken to apply and was a great week.

If anyone is interested, the next course is in the February half term of 2017. Visit the website for details: www.fly2help.org. Take a look at some of the pictures of the course!
