u14s Cup Runners up at the Solihull School 7s
Published Monday 6 March 2017 by strs sports
In a hugely competitive tournament, featuring 32 schools from all over the country, the u14s reached the Cup Final of the Solihull School 7s. The final was their ninth game of the day and the boys had put in a huge amount of effort defeating Solihull 22-10, Ellesmere College 35-0, Nottingham High School 22-7, Ivybridge Community College 36-20, The Crypt 34-0, Kenilworth 33-10 and Loughborough Grammar 36-12 in the group stages. In the Cup Semi-Final they defeated Newcastle Under Lyme School 31-12 and then faced Warwick School in the Cup Final. There was plenty of sore and tired bodies but they tried to raise themselves for the final but unfortunately could not match Warwick, who won 44-12. This will hopefully give the boys confidence before the Old Swinford Hospital 7s on Tuesday and their EDF Energy Gloucestershire County Cup Semi Final v St Peter's HS on 28th March.
