£10k Grant

£10k Grant

We are incredibly grateful to both the Nationwide Building Society and Mr Kadao (the parent of one of our Year 8 pupils) for the recent grant of £10,000 from the Nationwide to the PTFA.

Mr Kadao, who is pictured here presenting the cheque for the grant to Headteacher Mr Lynch, works for the Nationwide Building Society and applied for the grant on the PTFA’s behalf; we are very pleased to announce that we are using the donation to foot the final payment for our solar panels, which were installed over the summer.

The support and hard work of parents and our PTFA volunteers has a massive impact on the school, and a huge thank you goes to Mr Kadao for going out of his way to make this happen! The solar panels are forecast to provide up to 25% of our annual electricity, which will represent a significant saving on our bills and greatly increases our sustainability as a school site.

The improvements we make to the School and the opportunities we provide are made possible thanks to donations and grants, including from the PTFA, from organisations such as Nationwide, and from individual parents and alumni of course.

If you would like to contribute to the School’s long-term sustainability goals and make a one-off donation or pledge a regular monthly gift to us through The 1666 Fund, however small, we would really appreciate your support; it will make a huge difference to the generations of Richians still to come.
