It was wonderful to see so many alumni return to the School recently to talk to our Year 13 students about their university choices and careers. The day offered students a fantastic breadth of opportunities to learn from alumni working across a wide range of career areas, with 33 different career talks, including Engineering, Economics and setting up a business. There were also additional sessions exploring Degree Apprenticeships and how they compare with university, as well as a valuable session with Danny Wiseman, a Legal Recruiter, who shared practical advice on making CVs stand out and using LinkedIn effectively.

It was great to receive such positive feedback from both students and alumni, with Danny highlighting just how engaged the students were this year. He noted that this was the year with the highest engagement on his LinkedIn post, the best questions, and the most students who already had jobs and had found them through networking. He also commented on the number of students connecting with him on LinkedIn, with several already asking for profile reviews.
