At the end of February brothers Michael Ashworth (Year 12) and Robert Ashworth (Year 10) participated in the West of England Junior Chess Championships.

They both played really well and despite having to default one of the rounds due to a clash with another event on the same day, they managed to win the titles of Under 18 West of England Champion (Michael) and Under 16 West of England Champion (Robert).
