A huge well done to Ashy in Year 9, who walked the Southwest Coastal Path, stage 1, from Minehead towards Westward Ho! this summer with his dad to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

Ashy wanted to do something significant to mark turning 13, and after discussions with his family he set himself a target to raise £1000 in seven days walking the route. Despite a few detours and setbacks, he eventually walked 76 miles in total and raised an incredible £1500.

Along the way he met some amazing people, heard their great stories, saw lots of the great British coast, meandered through the pretty villages and banked a lifetime of memories.
