European Day of Languages took place on Saturday, but why celebrate for just one day? We’re making it a whole week of celebrating languages, cultures and the many different ways we communicate across Europe.

To mark the occasion, we’re exploring some of the colourful expressions used in different European languages – including the many wonderfully creative ways to describe a rainy day. From “raining cats and dogs” in England to some rather unexpected expressions elsewhere in Europe - pupils and teachers are joining in across the school this week, and it’s a great reminder of how much fun language can be.

Pupils in 7S are pictured here enjoying some tasks and games in their French lesson with Mrs Griffiths this morning!
