Celebration of the Russian language and culture

On Tuesday the Year 9 language ambassadors ran a number of activities in celebration of International Russian Language Day. International Language days were established by the UN in 2010 to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity and promote equal use of all six of the UN’s official working languages.
The ambassadors worked conscientiously with pupils from years 7 to 9, engaging them in activities based on history, geography, culture and language. We hope pupils enjoyed the morning and gained some insight into the richness of the Russian language and culture.
