Sir Thomas Rich’s Chess team has progressed through to the regional semi-finals of the ECF National Schools Knockout Competition. A quarter-final victory over Redland Green School from Bristol by the emphatic margin of 6 – 0 puts us amongst the top 4 schools in the West of England. The other regional semi-finalists are likely to be Torquay Boys Grammar, Millfield School and Bristol Grammar School.
