Sir Thomas Rich’s Chess Team finished in a fantastic 13th place in the ECF Secondary Schools Rapidplay Chess Tournament held at Eton on Sunday 14th September. We won 2, drew 2 and lost 1 of our 5 matches, the highlight being a 3 – 3 draw with the hosts Eton College.

STRS lost to Haberdashers Askes’ School (Hertfordshire), drew with Eton College and RGS Guildford (Surrey), and beat Vandyke Upper School (Bedfordshire) and St Paul’s Girl’s School (London).
