Year 10 pupil Harry M has been awarded a Highly Commended certificate in this year’s prestigious Dulverton Essay Prize, run by the King’s School, Gloucester. Competing against pupils from across Gloucestershire in Years 10 to 13, Harry demonstrated exceptional insight in his essay ‘Guns, gaming and their effect on growing up’, responding to the thought-provoking theme inspired by Adam Dobby’s powerful image, Hope: the stubborn, the unconquerable: the universal right of every child to a safe and enriching childhood - the right to play, to learn, and to grow without fear.
This recognition is a testament to Harry’s thoughtful writing, maturity of perspective, and commitment to social justice.
