Eight members of the Senior Debate Society have become UK European Youth Parliament (EYP) champions and will go on to represent the UK in an international session later this year. The students debated a range of global issues, including needle spiking, global transport networks, loss of marginal languages, climate change and youth electoral participation. The group impressed the judges throughout the four-day event which included writing position speeches, cultural exchange activities, a Euro-pop concert and the final debates.

This is an exceptional achievement and the whole school community wishes them the best at the international session later this year.
