We were delighted to welcome Steve Eadon, from the organisation Mingalaba, back to the school this week to speak with our Year 9 pupils about the value of learning languages. Drawing on his experience as a coach at Arsenal, Steve shared how his language skills have been useful and have supported his career in sport, and in addition highlighted the many transferable skills that learning a language can develop, including communication, confidence and teamwork.

Following the talk, pupils took part in a series of interactive football sessions, where they put their French and German into practice in a fun and engaging way. It was fantastic to see so many students confidently using their language skills on the pitch. Well done to everyone who took part.
