Make a good first impression! This is very good advice but sometimes one can try too hard with unfortunate consequences. This was the storyline for the German Play “Erster Eindruck”. Hannah is keen to make a good impression on the rather attractive boy, Andreas, who is visiting next door. Her efforts, however, backfire and she ends up making rather a fool of herself. Meanwhile Christoph, a rather geeky individual who lives next door, is infatuated with Hannah and keen to impress. However, he also only succeeds in making himself look a bit of an idiot. The hilarious scenarios found resonance with the boys, such that they became unaware that they were listening to and learning German. Particularly enjoyable were the occasions when the cast interacted with the pupils and there were some memorable performances from a couple of the boys. Onatti Productions are to be congratulated on yet another successful and engaging foreign language play.
