Göttingen Exchange2016/17
On Tuesday 8th November 23 year 10 boys said emotional goodbyes to their German exchange partners from the Otto-Hahn Gymnasium in Göttingen – Germany. The German pupils had a fun-packed week in England and thoroughly enjoyed their stay here. Their programme included trips to Bristol and London and a day in Gloucester, enjoying a guided tour through town and some shopping time. Friday 4th offered excellent opportunities for the pupils and their partners to get to know each other better, as they spent all day together undertaking joint activities at the Croft Farm near Tewkesbury, followed by a Barn dance in the evening at Sir Thomas Rich’s. Both events were fun and energetic at the same time and set great foundations for the weekend together with partners and their families.
Once again our pupils and parents were perfect hosts, making the German exchange group feel very welcome and going to great lengths to entertain them each day. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their kind hospitality.
“I can’t wait to go to Germany now and meet my partner and his family!” Conrad Holmes 10B
“I had a really great time here and everybody was so friendly to me. I love England!” Cedric Langer
