On Monday 16 March 21 year 10 boys waved goodbye to their German exchange partners from the Otto-Hahn Gymnasium in Göttingen – Germany. The German pupils had a fun-packed week in England and thoroughly enjoyed their stay here. Their programme included day trips to Bristol and London and a day in Gloucester, visiting the Mayor, the Cathedral and completing a town trail. Friday 13th did its utmost to live up to its reputation! During our joint trip to the Forest Adventure about the only thing that was not dampened was our spirits. Despite the rain and the cold the pupils still took many positives from the day. On Saturday evening a family Barn dance, complete with presentations, rounded off the week.
Once again our pupils and parents were perfect hosts, making the German exchange group feel very welcome and going to great lengths to entertain them each day and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their kind hospitality.
