The House Languages competition took place on Monday afternoon. It was an exciting celebration of languages, and it was very rewarding to see students from year 7 to year 13 speaking and performing with such confidence in the foreign language. The event was hosted by our Lead Language Ambassadors, Louis Yates and Michael Ashworth, and the department is indebted to them for all their work in organising the event. The audience was treated to entertaining sketches, songs and jokes in a foreign language. Southgate fought off stiff competition from the other three Houses to win the day. My thanks go to all the senior students who worked with the younger pupils to ensure a high standard of performance and a successful competition.
