Huge congratulations to all our Junior teams for their excellent performances in this year’s House Public Speaking Competition. The overall standard of entries was exceptional, and the judging panel found the rankings particularly challenging due to the high quality of delivery, structure, and critical engagement shown across all speeches. This year’s topics included ‘Should the government invest in space exploration?’, ‘The Art of Looking Busy’, and ‘Growth Mindset in Education’. After some fierce competition, Westgate House took the coveted top spot; well done to the team.
Junior House Public Speaking Results
- 1st Westgate
- 2nd Newgate
- 3rd Eastgate
- 4th Southgate (with a special commendation for their impressive last-minute performance)
- 5th Northgate
Every team demonstrated maturity, confidence, and a strong grasp of public speaking technique. It was a thoroughly impressive showcase of talent, and all pupils should be extremely proud of their contributions.
