Make it Mince

Last night Leon Huebner represented the school in the South West Regional Finals, of the Make it with Mince Cooking Competition which were staged at the Cabot Restaurant training kitchens at Ashley Down Campus of the City of Bristol College. Celebrity chef James Martin was there as head of the judging panel - he really was great, putting all the contestants and parents at ease.
Leon presented a very good looking plate - the judges were especially impressed with all the processes and elements he prepared in just 1 hour - not only 4 differently spiced/flavoured burgers, but he made the buns, flatbread, hummus all from scratch. The Head Chef of the Cabot Restaurant wants to put his dish on his lunchtime menu - praise indeed!
