Fifteen of our top mathematicians from Yr10 attended a Mathematics Enrichment Event at the University of Bristol on Monday 20^th June. The boys attended lectures on topics ranging from the mathematics in social networks to playing with fractals. They also competed in a problem solving activity (where the winning team included 2 of our lads) as well as meeting students and touring some of the university. All the students, studying subjects as diverse as Natural Sciences, Psychology and Geography, said that maths (particularly statistics) was vital in their university courses.
