Mock Trial Competition at University of Gloucestershire

Our Year 8 and Year 9 pupils have delivered an impressive debut at the Mock Trial Competition at the University of Gloucestershire Oxstalls Campus. Guided by our outstanding Year 12 Law Society coaches, whose leadership and commitment have been exemplary, the teams produced two highly accomplished performances against Stroud High School and Cheltenham Ladies’ College. The competition was extremely close, and the Rich’s Defence Team was eventually placed second to the Cheltenham Ladies’ College Prosecution Team, with just two points in it. A fantastic result as this is our first year taking part. We are delighted that three pupils received individual awards for costume and exceptional performance. They are:
- Best costume: Oscar T.
- Exceptional performance: Abinav I and Shay G.
- Theo H was also commended by the judges for his quick thinking as Defence Solicitor.
Judges praised our students for their composure, quick thinking, and ability to respond confidently to the unfolding arguments. Every pupil involved deserves great credit for the dedication and hard work shown throughout the preparation process. The School is immensely proud of this remarkable first entry.
