Following the success of our linguists at the Speaking Competition in March, three pupils were invited to take part in the Regional Finals at Bath University. It was a prestigious event, hosted by Professor Robert Vilain of Bristol University and Dr Steve Wharton of Bath University. They applauded the very high standard of speaking which they admitted was far superior to the standard they were achieving at a comparable age. Our linguists performed with fluency and confidence in front of a daunting panel of judges. They thoroughly deserved their certificates of merit.
