Noah Smerdon [Y12] won his third Cap for the England Schools U18 Football side when he captained the team against Wales in Cardiff on Thursday 29th March 2018. England conceded a soft goal within 2 minutes of the kick off and despite dominating possession and spending the majority of time in their hosts' half, the closest they came to equalising was hitting the bar twice. Noah played most of the game at left back and marshalled his team expertly. He was strong in defence and was very assured in attack, distributing the ball with precision to his team mates. The experience gained from playing semi-professional football for Gloucester City in National League South was very evident throughout the match. Noah was cheered on by friends and family who had travelled down to support him at the Cardiff Met University ground. Well done Noah on the fantastic achievement of captaining your country, a first for a Rich's student.
