On Saturday 2nd July Joel Price reached his third century of the season for the 1st XI, when he scored 113 v The King's School, Gloucester. It was a key contribution, along with three wickets each from Captain Sam Rideout and Jacob Hughes, as the 1st XI defeated King's at Archdeacon Meadow by 8 runs. This victory has followed narrow defeats to RGS Worcester and Monmouth, an abandoned game v Hereford Cathedral and a 14 run win against Dean Close School. It leaves the 2016 1st XI with a record of P11, W8, L2 AB1 with The MCC, Gloucester Gipsies and the Headmaster's XI left to play.
